Some of the issues that affect women in the technology sector include; Gender discrimination, lack of equal representation and struggle in balancing between work and family. Still, women are advancing because of the availability of mentorship, networking, and educational opportunities among other factors. Programs such as Girls Who Code and Women in Tech are out there to assist women and assist them in gaining confidence and knowledge. The tech industry will be able to harness the talents and ideas that women have to bring to the table if only the organizations will accept them and let them in. When more women join and perform well in the technology sector, they create a way for the next generation to follow until the technology sector is dominated by women.
