Heide Abelli has spent her career developing innovative, technology-enabled products for educational purposes, both in the higher education and corporate spaces. She is passionate about improving the practice of management by leveraging technology and has built award-winning educational technology solutions to address learning needs. In 2018 she launched an educational technology product for enterprise-wide leadership development which won Business Intelligence Group’s BIG Awards for Business 2018 New Product of the Year award in Enterprise Education. This product also won the Amalgam Insight’s 2018 Best Leadership Training and Development Programs for Building Better Leadership Brains. It was also a finalist for the 2018 EdTech Award. The educational technology solutions that she brought to market in 2018 also included a powerful solution to enable learning using technology in the topics of digital transformation and optimization. These multi-million dollar revenue-generating product solutions, launched in 2018, have all received significant recognition as outstanding solutions by leading industry analysts including Brandon Hall, Wainwright, Training Industry, Fosway Group and many others.
Heide is a frequent contributor of primary research, expert insights and commentary, and lead article contributions to dozens of publications including publications which cover technology. She is a regular contributor to the popular and business press, covering key topics in leveraging technology to improve the practice of management and leadership and to increase productivity and effectiveness of the workforce in the digital age. Popular and business press title contributions include: Reader’s Digest, Business Insider, Forbes, HR Drive, HR.com, Training Managing, Learning Solutions and eLearning Industry News. She is also a contributor of expert insight commentary to journals and magazines which more intensively cover educational technology, including HRTechnologist.com, Information Age, EdTech Digest, CMS Wire and Digitisation World. She is also a frequent blogger on topics in digital optimization and transformation, leadership in the digital age and leveraging technology-enabled solutions for effective adult learning.
She is a frequent panel participant and session lead at industry conferences including conferences such as the Learning, Technology and Innovation Masie conference to specialized conferences on technology in corporate education. This year she led a panel discussion on the impact of technology on the way we work at The Future of Work HR Summit and is leading a panel discussion at the upcoming annual conference A Way Forward – Women in Leadership.
Heide is SVP of Content Product Management at Skillsoft as well as an Adjunct Professor of Management & Organization at Boston College’s Carroll School of Management. She holds an MBA with honors from Harvard Business School.
